Archipelago book

“Archipelago” is a project that explores themes of female friendship,

resilience, and collective strength in times of war. Initiated in the

summer of 2023, the work consists of eleven full-length portraits of

the artist’s close friends, realized through drawings on paper and

chiffon, accompanied by personal essays.

In 2024, the project was first presented at the Kunstakademie

Düsseldorf. It has since been developed into an artist book,

functioning as a portable exhibition. The book reproduces the original

chiffon works using transparent tracing paper, allowing the materiality

of the originals to be reflected in print.
