The project "Terra. Memoria Mundi" delves into the exploration and interpretation of soil phenomena through a series of engravings. Through this work, the artist utilizes soil as a metaphor for fundamental natural cycles that underpin human existence.

Employing large-scale geometric shapes and cardboard cutouts, the artist meticulously recreates the textures of the earth, as well as elements derived from it such as plants and stones.

The project unfolds along two parallel cycles: one where earth serves as the essential material sustaining human life. Soil facilitates nourishment, respiration, and eventually, upon death, our integration back into this material. This cycle embodies a natural truth characterized by simplicity and organic interconnectedness. Yet, alongside it, Aglaya explores the concept of "terra" as the root of "territory," a construct forged by human evolution. Here, the artist depicts humanity's relentless pursuit of land, often at the cost of bloodshed, highlighting the perpetual struggle for territorial dominance.
